Sum Total Consulting helps students, families, and institutions navigate the path from high school to whatever comes next.

We work on two fronts.

For students and families, we provide whole-family college and career coaching for grades 8 through 12. Our tiered programs, Early Risers, Sophomore Launch, Junior Milestones, and Senior Summit, meet families where they are and grow with the student year over year. The approach is deliberately path-neutral: college, trades, apprenticeship, and military are treated as equal and respected destinations. And it is built for every kind of household. Our materials include parents, grandparents, mentors, caseworkers, and advocates, because no student should be left out for lack of a traditional support system.

At the center of this work is our family workbook series. Each workbook is designed around a simple idea: students and the adults who support them prepare independently, then come together for the conversations that matter. Companion counselor guides and worksheet packets extend the same framework to schools and community programs.

For institutions, we provide interim, executive-level enrollment management leadership. When a key seat is open across Admissions, Financial Aid, or the Registrar, we step in to steady operations, coach existing teams, align cross-functional priorities, support the search, and plan a clean transition for incoming leaders, drawing on nearly 30 years of enrollment operations experience.

Whether we are sitting at a kitchen table or in a cabinet meeting, our belief is the same: education is a right, not a privilege.
Let's build the path forward together.
