Dr. Edward Marram is a Partner with CKM Investment Partners. As Chairman, Dr. Marram is responsible for executive mentorship, new business development, government relationships and business strategy. Dr. Marram was the Founder and CEO of Geo-Centers, a federal government professional services contractor. Geo-Centers was bootstrapped with no outside capital and grew to 1,400 employees and 17 locations before the company was sold to SAIC. Geo-Centers customers included the State Department, Homeland Security, DoD, Army and Navy. Geo-Centers completed two acquisitions while he was CEO. Earlier in his career, Dr. Marram was a solid-state physicist while at IBM and Arthur D. Little. He also was Operations Manager and Chief Scientist at Los Alamos for EG&G, where he spent 10 years, including running a team of over 200 people. Currently, Dr. Marram is a professor at Babson College, where he teaches courses in entrepreneurship. Previously, he also was the Director of the Entrepreneurial Center at Babson. Dr. Marram has served on over 10 boards of directors during his career. Dr. Marram has a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Tufts University, and a MS and BS in Physics from University of Massachusetts.
