Michael Freeman is a seasoned professional in data visualization and education, currently serving as Principal Visualization Engineer at Summer since January 2024. Previously, Michael worked at Observable as a Data Visualization Software Engineer, focusing on making data visualization more accessible and impactful. Michael's academic contributions include roles as Associate Teaching Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer at the University of Washington Information School, where courses were designed and taught in Data Science and Interactive Data Visualization.
