Jon Eckberg has a diverse work history spanning various roles and industries. Jon began their career as a Staff Writer, Copy Editor, Page Designer, and Photographer at The Mountain Mail from August 1995 to August 1996. Following this, they worked as a Sports Writer and Copy Editor at the El Paso Herald-Post from August 1996 to October 1997. Jon then moved on to The Bellingham Herald, where they served as a Sports Copy Editor and Designer from November 1997 to January 2000. Jon then joined the El Paso Times as an Assistant Sports Editor from January 2000 to March 2003.

In March 2003, Jon transitioned to The Dallas Morning News, where they worked as a Copy Editor and Paginator until September 2008. Jon then joined Baylor Health Care System Foundation as an Officer (Project Manager/Copywriter) from October 2008 to August 2011. Next, they worked at the UTEP Alumni Association as the Treasurer from 2009 to 2013. Jon then pursued their interest in Occupational Therapy and became an Occupational Therapy Student at Texas Woman's University from August 2011 to May 2014.

After completing their studies, Jon joined Aegis Therapies as an Occupational Therapist from June 2014 to September 2016. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Rehabilitation at Summit Care Inc since October 2016, showcasing their leadership capabilities and expertise in the field.

Jon Eckberg earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication/Journalism from The University of Texas at El Paso, where they studied from 1988 to 1994. Later, from 2011 to 2014, Jon Eckberg pursued a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy/Therapist at Texas Woman's University.
