Joel Bernstein

Joel Bernstein has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to drilling, environmental technologies, remediation, and project management. Joel is currently serving as the Vice President at Summit Drilling since 2023. Prior to that, Joel held the position of President at Subsurface Environmental Technologies starting from 2006. From 1997 to 2006, they worked as the VP at Environmental Remediation Contractors. Joel also worked as a project manager at Sadat Associates, Inc. from 1994 to 1997 and as a case manager at NJ Dept of Environmental Protection from 1990 to 1994.

Joel Bernstein obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marine Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Joel further pursued their education in Environmental Sciences at Rutgers University from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, Joel has acquired several certifications, including Underground Storage Tank (UST) Removal from the NJ Department of Environmental Protection in January 1999. Joel is also a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) at the Master Level, certified in Monitoring Well Drilling, a Certified Well Driller (CWD) accredited by the National Groundwater Association, and a Subsurface Evaluator from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
