Summit Engineering Corporation was founded in 1978 with an office in Reno, Nevada which provided Civil Engineering and Land Surveying services.

The original founder and principal, Thomas H. Gallagher,
P.E., P.L.S., still provide day to day hands on guidance and direction of the company with Thomas Gallagher as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Due to this direct involvement and leadership, Summit Engineering Corporation has grown to become one of the premier design firms in the nation, with offices located in Reno and Elko.
