Vice President, Information Technology at Summit Interconnect

Bob Kolowitz has extensive work experience in the information technology field. Bob is currently serving as the Vice President of Information Technology at Summit Interconnect since May 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of Information Technology at Summit Interconnect from September 2019 to May 2022.

Before joining Summit Interconnect, Bob worked at the University of San Francisco from July 2015 to August 2019. Bob held the position of Director / Sr. Program Manager, IT Infrastructure Services. In this role, they oversaw operations and delivery of organization-wide projects, managed a team of 30 workers, and collaborated with stakeholders to devise solutions.

From January 2007 to July 2015, Bob worked at OCLARO as the Director of Global Information Technology Infrastructure. In this role, they managed various operations including helpdesk, desktop support, network, systems/storage, telecom, and projects. Bob also facilitated multiple mergers, acquisitions, and data center builds. Bob was responsible for the global implementation of Agile PLM at OCLARO.

Bob's career started at Alien Technology Corp. in January 2001, where they worked as the Manager of Information Technology. Bob played a pivotal role in the company's expansion, managing the IT helpdesk, applications, and infrastructure. Bob also supported the executive staff in the acquisition of two different companies.

Bob Kolowitz earned an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Masters Institute from 1999 to 2001. Bob then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix, completing it from 2003 to 2005. Recently, they obtained a Master's degree in Information Systems from the University of San Francisco between 2018 and 2020.
