Thomas Smith

Thomas Smith is an experienced instructor currently serving at Summit Point Training Facility since January 2023. Previously, Thomas was a candidate for the Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) at The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) from April 2020 to May 2021. An independent contractor at Smith Tactical from March 2019 to March 2020, Thomas provided advisory support for realistic training exercises across the Southeastern United States. Earlier roles include serving as an instructor at the United States Sergeants Major Academy from October 2017 to October 2018 and as a Sergeant Major in the US Army from July 2015 to October 2017. Thomas holds a Master's degree in Latin American Affairs from Johns Hopkins SAIS, a Master's degree in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis from The University of Texas at El Paso, and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Excelsior University.
