Daniel Briley

Daniel Briley has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Daniel is the Founder & CEO of Summit Security Group, a firm specializing in cybersecurity engineering, governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Daniel founded DeepSurface, the first automated Predictive Vulnerability Management suite of tools. Daniel also served as an Adjunct Faculty at Pacific University, teaching graduate-level Health Information Technology courses and developing compliance curriculum. Additionally, they worked as an Information Security Officer at Legacy Health, a Committee Member at OAHHS, and a Business Information Security Officer at Citi Residential Lending. Prior to that, they were the Privacy Manager at ACC Capital Holdings, a Systems Engineer at OpenService, Inc., an Information Technology Consultant at California State University, Fullerton, and a Technical Staff at Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Daniel Briley has a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Redlands. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Advanced Open Water Diver from PADI, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², Divemaster (DM) from NAUI Worldwide, and The Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US) from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals.
