Alex Shackleton

Alex Shackleton is a Manufacturing Engineer at SumUp, having previously held roles as a Product Design Engineer at Firecomms and MEICA Engineer at Nicholas O'Dwyer Ltd, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems in international potable water projects. Alex has a strong background in mechanical design, new product development, and rapid prototyping. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, where involvement included teaching fellow and co-founding Bélú Solutions, which aimed to reduce food waste in restaurants using computer vision technology.
