Anton Tsonev is the Global Head of Tax at SumUp, a role they have held since 2021. With previous experience as a Senior Global Tax Manager and EU Tax Manager at SumUp, Anton also served as a Tax Coordinator for Holding and Financing Companies at LUKOIL Accounting and Finance Europe from 2018 to 2019. Their background includes positions at EY as a Tax (VAT) Manager and Deloitte as a Tax Consultant. Anton is currently appointed as SumUp’s representative to the VAT Expert Group of the European Commission for the 2025–2028 term, contributing to VAT policy and implementation across the EU. Anton holds multiple law degrees from the University of National and World Economy and Maastricht University.
