Basile Fourcade

Basile FOURCADE currently serves as the Engineering Lead for Payments in the Hardware Tribe at SumUp, a position held since October 2019, where responsibilities include the integration and operation of in-house and third-party POS readers, as well as the development and certification of in-house readers. Prior to SumUp, Basile FOURCADE worked at YouTransactor from October 2013 to October 2019 as the Secure Platform Manager, overseeing the architecture of the YT Secure Platform for POS/MPOS systems. Earlier experience includes a role at Gemalto from September 2007 to September 2013 as a Secure Transaction Software Engineer and a SmartCard/NFC Telecom Software Engineer, focusing on the development and quality assurance of banking products and NFC solutions. Basile FOURCADE earned a Master's degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Electronics Engineering from Isep - École d'ingénieurs du numérique and participated in a university exchange program at Polytechnique Montréal.
