Nestor Castillo

Nestor Castillo is a highly skilled data scientist currently employed at SumUp since March 2021, bringing extensive experience in data engineering and software development. Previously, Nestor was a Senior Data Engineer at deep_dive, the first employee at a successful data science startup, where end-to-end data software projects were developed for prominent clients, including the largest retirement fund in Latin America. Nestor also contributed as a Software Developer at EventScouts AG, collaborating with an international team to create a social media event platform. Early career experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at ITAM, focused on risk detection involving graph databases and machine learning principles. Nestor holds a Computer Engineering degree from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and has pursued studies in Computer Science and Engineering at Aalto University.
