Stefano Bianconi

Stefano Bianconi is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on hardware development and project management. Currently serving as Head of Hardware Development at SumUp since May 2017, Bianconi leads project teams and reports to the Chief Operations Officer while overseeing budget definitions and the validation of electronic, software, and mechanical developments. Prior roles include Senior Application Engineer at u-blox from November 2015 to May 2017 and Project Leader and Hardware System Integrator at Si14 from September 2010 to October 2015. Bianconi started in the field as a Hardware Engineer at Telsey from March 2006 to September 2010, where responsibilities centered on ODM project development and coordination with a Taiwanese hardware team for high-volume production. Educationally, Bianconi holds a Maturità Scientifica from Liceo Scientifico and a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova, with a specialization in electronics, networking, and electromagnetic fields theory.
