Tadej Štajner is currently serving as a Data Engineering Manager at SumUp since November 2020, leading two teams that focus on building a platform for data scientists to deploy models addressing risk and compliance issues. Previously, Tadej held roles as Principal and Senior Machine Learning Engineer at SumUp, contributing to a machine learning platform for payment services and risk. At HERE Technologies from March 2015 to March 2020, Tadej worked as a Lead Data Scientist, designing machine learning solutions for automotive products and performing predictive analytics. Tadej's earlier experience includes roles as Senior Software Engineer at TVbeat, Co-founder and Lead Developer at Magazinius, Research Assistant at Jozef Stefan Institute, and Visiting Researcher at Yahoo Research. Tadej completed a PhD in Computer Science at Mednarodna podiplomska šola Jožefa Stefana and holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Ljubljana.
