Vasilena Taralova, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Data Scientist at SumUp, focusing on Risk Modelling within the Risk & Compliance Tribe since January 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist at GemSeek from October 2017 to January 2023, and as a PhD Student and Research Fellow at Fraunhofer ITWM between July 2011 and May 2015. Vasilena has also worked as a Visiting Researcher at Texas A&M University and held mathematician positions at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
