Javier Ortiz Bravo

Javier Ortiz Bravo has a diverse range of work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Javier'smost recent role was as a Process Quality Engineer at SUN bioscience, where they were responsible for manufacturing PEG-based hydrogel plates for organoid culture. Javier also implemented a quality management system for cleanroom manufacturing and utilized robotics, physics, and biology to improve processes.

Prior to that, Javier worked as a Senior Research Associate at KBI Biopharma, where they performed environmental and chemical monitoring in a cleanroom manufacturing setting. Javier also supported GMP compliance and was involved in data management, deviation reporting, and procedure writing.

Earlier in their career, Javier was a Quality Control Engineer at Symetis, where they conducted microbiological and bioburden analyses of medical devices. Javier also supported investigations of deviations and CAPAs and monitored environmental and water conditions in a cleanroom area.

Javier gained research experience during their time at HES-SO Valais-Wallis, where they worked on their master's thesis project. Javier developed and validated ELISA tests using chemiluminescence and electrochemiluminescence and quantified serum metabolites using LC/MS-MS. Javier also worked as an Academic Associate at the same institution, focusing on serum preparation, protein characterization, and biomarker investigation for neurological disorders.

Earlier in their career, Javier held positions as a Laboratory Assistant at Universidad de Concepción - Centro de biotecnología and as a Bioinformatics Intern at Syngenta. Javier also worked as a Student Research Assistant at the Forest Nutrition and Soil Productivity Laboratory in the University of Concepcion.

Throughout their work experience, Javier has demonstrated strong technical skills in laboratory techniques, data analysis, quality management, and compliance.

Javier Ortiz Bravo pursued their education starting in 2009 at the Universidad de Concepción, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Biotechnology in 2014. Javier continued their academic journey at HES-SO Valais-Wallis from 2017 to 2020 and completed a Master of Science degree in Applied Biosciences.
