Maria Clapés Cabrer

Maria Clapés Cabrer has a diverse work experience in the field of bioscience. Maria started their career at IRB Barcelona as a Visiting Student, where they gained experience in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry techniques and conducted a study on CXCR4 in colorectal cancer metastasis. Maria then joined MIMETAS as an intern, specializing in Model Development and optimizing a viability assay in 3D liver models. Maria also worked at SUN bioscience, where they completed their Master's thesis on establishing and characterizing 3D liver models using SUN bioscience's technology. In addition, they held roles as a Field Application Specialist, providing expert advice and support to customers, and as a Product Manager, responsible for building relationships with clients and driving the adoption of SUN technology.

Maria Clapés Cabrer earned a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Universitat de Barcelona between 2014 and 2018. In 2017, they also attended Politecnico di Milano as part of an Erasmus program for Biomedical Engineering. Following their undergraduate studies, Maria pursued a Master's degree in Life Sciences Engineering at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2018 to 2020.
