Backiaraj A is an experienced professional in the automotive sector, currently serving as the Head of Product Design and Vehicle Integration at SUN Mobility since August 2023. Prior to this role, Backiaraj was a Vertical Lead for Vehicle Powertrain and Battery Integration at Sunmobility, focusing on chassis and battery design, system engineering, and prototype development. Previous experiences include significant positions at Ashok Leyland, where contributions were made in electric vehicle engineering and hybrid vehicle integration, as well as at AMW Motors Ltd, leading current product engineering and bus vehicle engineering initiatives. Backiaraj holds a BE in Automobile Engineering from Anna University Chennai and a Master's degree in CAD/CAM from Vel Tech Technical University, along with other qualifications from institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and Thiagarajar Polytechnic College.
