Dan Sweeney

Dan Sweeney is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in writing, editing, and advising across various platforms. Sweeney began a freelance writing career from 1995 to 2014, focusing on music, politics, travel, and food, with publications including American Way and Relix. Serving as Associate Editor for City Link Magazine from 2004 to 2011, Sweeney wrote numerous columns while managing staff writers and editing stories. As Calendar Editor at New Times Broward/Palm Beach, Sweeney oversaw the arts and entertainment section. Sweeney later coached students at Florida Atlantic University as Adviser to the University Press and contributed to South Florida Sun Sentinel as Digital Engagement Reporter, and Deputy Opinions Editor, with impactful editorial engagement and investigative reporting on state politics. Sweeney holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
