Rick Lanman

Rick Lanman, MD, serves as an advisor for Biocartis NV and GenomOncology, and holds positions on the board of directors at Chiara Biosciences and CIRCULOGENE. As president of the Institute for Historical Ecology since January 2011, Rick also contributes to several advisory roles at organizations such as Precede Biosciences, Sunbird Bio, and Teiko.bio. Previously, Rick was the advisor and medical director at Forward, an innovative primary care provider from January 2017 to December 2024. In addition to these roles, Rick was the past president of the North Santa Clara Resource Conservation District. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Stanford University and an MD from Northwestern University, followed by extensive training in psychiatry. Rick is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
