David Carmack has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. David started their career as a Freelance Commercial Photographer at David Carmack Photography in 1999, where they became the go-to photographer for This Old House magazine, completing over 130 assignments. Additionally, they worked as a Lead Photographer for the PBS TV series This Old House, capturing images at multiple project houses in Massachusetts.

In 2010, David transitioned to a sales and customer service role as a Territory Manager at Planet Aid, Inc., a nonprofit textile recycler. David managed a large territory and oversaw 600 clothing donation bins and 450 site host partners. David actively engaged with municipalities and presented before various boards to ensure compliance with regulations. Moreover, David served as a Solar Sales and System Design specialist at SunBug Solar from 2016. David provided personalized solar system designs that aligned with customers' energy, investment, and environmental goals. Overall, David's work experience showcases their expertise in photography, customer service, and sales roles.

David Carmack holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photo/Video/Film from the University of Oklahoma. In 2013 and 2014, they attended the Leadership Metrowest Leadership Academy. Additionally, David obtained a certification in PV Technical Sales Professional from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners in June 2018.
