In 2003, SunButter® partnered with the USDA to develop the first-ever sunflower seed spread. We created it as a nut-free alternative to serve in schools to safeguard the health of those with peanut allergies. Our work today is inspired by our start as product pioneers of the first and foremost delicious, nutritious nut-free spread.

SunButter’s amazing taste, nutritional riches, and culinary versatility made it much more than a peanut butter substitute. Its use in school cafeterias, corporate kitchens, and countless homes spurred the demand that led to its current availability in 30,000 retail locations. And with a savory flavor that plays so well with others, our six delicious spreads are just the start of our story. SunButter® Jammies™ are the next in the line of innovative products planned to further our mission of sharing the sunflower’s full power.
