Jon Mitchell

Jon Mitchell has extensive experience in environmental management and sustainability, having held various leadership positions across several organizations. Notable roles include Vice-President of Environment, Sustainability & Public Policy at Cenovus Energy and Vice-President of Sustainability at Suncor, where responsibilities encompassed the development and integration of sustainable strategies. Jon has also served as Chief Sustainability Officer at Suncor, overseeing critical sustainability issues, and has previous experience as an Environmental Management Advisor at the University of Calgary and as an Environmental Researcher at the University of Guelph. With a solid educational foundation, including a Master of Environmental Design from the University of Calgary and an Honours Science degree from the University of Guelph, Jon Mitchell brings a wealth of knowledge in environmental science and policy.
