Steve Johnston

Steve Johnston is the Group CEO & Managing Director at Suncorp Group. Steve has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles in both the public and private sectors.

Steve started their career in the public sector, working as a Principal Policy Advisor in the Office of the Queensland Premier. Steve then moved to the private sector, where they spent eight years as the National General Manager Corporate and Government Affairs at Telstra.

In their current role at Suncorp, Steve is responsible for leading the company's strategy and operations to deliver sustainable long-term value for shareholders. Under their leadership, Suncorp has become one of Australia's leading financial services organisations.

Steve Johnston has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management (Economics) from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Public Administration from the same school.
