James Daniel

James Daniel is an experienced professional in the field of renewable energy and carbon management, currently serving as Head of Carbon at SunCulture since April 2023, focusing on the commoditization of carbon offset certificates and leading verification processes. As the Founder and CEO of Regid International since November 2017, James has spearheaded village-scale biomass energy projects and climate mitigation modeling. In addition to this role, James has held significant positions such as Senior Fellow at Global EverGreening Alliance, Team Lead for Earth Observation at ClimatePartner, and Lead Coordinator for biomass energy projects across East and Southern Africa. Previous experience includes roles at the World Agroforestry Centre, Kenya's Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, and the Kenya Forest Service. James holds a Master's in Renewable Energy Technology from Kenyatta University and a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies from the same institution, complemented by a certification in Public Accounting from Strathmore University.
