Matthias Ihly has extensive aviation experience, currently serving as Captain B737 NG/MAX at SunExpress since January 2024. Prior to this role, Matthias held the position of Captain E190 at German Airways from March 2022 to December 2023. From September 2016 to March 2022, Matthias was a Captain B737 NG at Hainan Airlines, and also held similar positions at Germania Fluggesellschaft, CanJet Airlines, Germania Airlines (Fluggesellschaft), and XL AIRWAYS, all while primarily flying the B737 NG. Matthias began with Blue Wings AG as a Co-Pilot A320 and spent several years at European Air Express (EAE) as Captain ATR-42, gaining valuable experience in both Captain and Co-Pilot roles across various aircraft types since beginning a career in aviation in 1999.
