Théo Pénot

Théo is based in Nairobi and joined SunFunder as an Investment Analyst in June 2021 to support the growth of the company's loan portfolio. He participates in the sourcing, due diligence and structuring of off-grid solar investments with French solar entities. Prior to SunFunder, Théo worked in structured export finance at ING Bank and in project finance at French renewable energy developer Akuo Energy. At Akuo Energy, he contributed to the financing of large-scale renewable energy infrastructures, including hydroelectric dams, multi-MW solar and wind farms in Europe, Africa and in the Pacific Islands. Théo graduated with an MSc in Corporate Finance & Banking from EDHEC Business School in 2021.
