Christopher Benton has over 25 years of professional experience, starting with their role as a Senior Command Post Controller in the United States Air Force from 1996 to 2005. Christopher then transitioned to become a Language Arts Teacher at Leeds High School from 2005 to 2009 before joining the Social Security Administration as a Senior Claims Representative from 2009 to 2012.
In 2012, Benton joined State Farm as a Sales Representative, and from 2013 to 2014, they worked as an Independent Insurance Agent at One Life America. Christopher then served as an Assistant Team Manager at American Solar Direct from 2014 to 2015.

Christopher Benton has a diverse education history spanning over two decades. Christopher began their academic journey at the University of Maryland in 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and successfully completed it in 2004. In 2003, they had the opportunity to study at King's College London, although the degree obtained during this period is unspecified.
Seeking further specialization, Christopher entered the University of Oklahoma in 2004 and dedicated a year to pursuing a Master of Human Relations degree, which they completed in 2005. Subsequently, they joined The University of West Alabama in 2006, embarking on a Master of Education program with a focus on English Language and Literature/Letters. This program took him two years to complete, and they successfully obtained their MEd in 2008.
Throughout their educational journey, Christopher demonstrated a passion for history, which they initially pursued as an undergraduate and later deepened through their studies at King's College London. Christopher then ventured into applied disciplines, branching into Human Relations through their master's degree at the University of Oklahoma and finally merging their interest in history with education through their MEd program at The University of West Alabama.
