Michael Roulston

Michael Roulston has a sizable work experience that includes roles such as Business Development Associate at SunGrid where they identified and pursued new business opportunities in the renewable energy and battery energy storage systems industry and collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals. Michael also served as a Corporate Development Analyst at Methanex Corporation and as a Mechanical Engineer at Atlabach Consultants. Michael has experience as the Chief Operator of ELA Autonomous Vehicle Project at Pacific Western Transportation Ltd and as a Project Coordinator at Epix Engineering. Before these roles, they worked as a self-employed World Traveler and Web Developer and Writer. Michael began their career as a Mechanical Engineer in Training at WorleyParsons and also served as Project Management Secondee at CNRL Horizon Site.

Michael Roulston holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, which they obtained between 2006 and 2011. In December 2020, they completed a Business Foundations Specialization program at Wharton Online. Michael has also earned several certifications, including a Google Data Analytics Certificate, a Google Project Management Certificate, and a Python for Everybody Specialization, all of which were obtained in 2021. In addition, they became a Professional Engineer (PE) of Engineers and Geoscientists BC in October 2021 and obtained the same certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in September 2020. Recently, they have enrolled in two MBA programs, which they are expected to complete in 2022: one in Finance at the University of British Columbia and the other in Business Administration and Management at SDA Bocconi.
