Ruth Smith

Ruth Smith is an experienced educator currently serving as the Head of Science at Sunmarke School since August 2023, where leadership emphasizes a strong teaching ethos focused on student needs. Previously, Ruth held the position of Head of Department at Wesgreen International School from July 2020 to August 2023, overseeing the science curriculum from KS3 to KS5 within the British system. Ruth also contributed as Deputy Head of Department at St Martins School from January 2016 to April 2021, responsible for teaching and learning, as well as the training of new and trainee science teachers. Early career experience includes serving as a Science Teacher at The James Hornsby School from July 2011 to January 2016. Ruth earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Cardiff University and completed additional education at the University of Bristol.
