Craig Kumpel

Craig Kumpel, P.E. has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Craig currently holds the position of Senior Director of Operations at Sunoco LP since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at NuStar Energy L.P. for several years, starting as an Associate Project Engineer in 2010 and later progressing to roles such as Manager of Operations, Manager of Operations Optimization, Manager of Area Terminals, Director of Operations, and General Manager of the East Region. In these roles, they demonstrated their expertise in managing daily operations, developing budgets, optimizing operations, and overseeing projects. Before joining NuStar Energy L.P., Craig had a role as Maintenance at Astra Foods Inc. Craig also gained early work experience as an Information Technology Intern at Comcast Cable in 2007.

Craig Kumpel, P.E. has a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Rowan University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering at the same university from 2008 to 2010. In addition to their educational qualifications, they hold several certifications including Excavation Competent Person and 24 Hour Hazwoper Certificate from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, both obtained in unspecified years. Craig is also an Engineer In Training certified by the NJ State Board of Land Surveyors and Professional Engineers, which they obtained in 2010.
