Brian Kocher

Brian Kocher serves as the CEO of SunOpta since January 2024, focusing on plant-based foods and organic products. Prior to this role, Kocher was Chairman of AgroFresh, an AgTech company dedicated to reducing food waste and supporting the food supply chain. Kocher also held the position of President and CEO at Calavo Growers, known for quality produce, from February 2022 to March 2023. Previous experiences include serving as President and CEO, as well as Chief Operating Officer, at Castellini Group of Companies, and Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Chiquita. Kocher’s extensive career includes key financial roles, such as Chief Financial Officer at Chiquita and Global Controller at General Electric Capital Corporation. Brian Kocher obtained a BBA in Accounting from Ohio University, graduating in 1991.
