Bryan Clark

SVP, R&D & Food Safety & Quality at SunOpta

Bryan Clark is the Senior Vice President for Research & Development and Food Safety && Quality. Prior to joining SunOpta in May of 2017, Mr. Clark spent more than 17 years at General Mills and the Pillsbury Company in numerous roles that honed his passion for innovation, quality and food safety. He began his career at Campbell's Soup Company.

During his tenure at General Mills, Bryan led growth and productivity initiatives across the spectrum of Foodservice, Retail and International business segments. His experiences include strategic thought leadership, technology creation and new product development, as well as process engineering and packaging development leadership roles that encompassed refrigerated & frozen dough, shelf stable meals, pizza & snacks, soup, broth and sauces.

He has extensive experience with capital projects including start-ups, new product commercialization and integration of merger & acquisitions. Additionally, Bryan has specific and particular interest in organizational effectiveness and development, creating high- performing technical and crOss-functional teams to deliver breakthrough results.

Mr. Clark earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from North Carolina State University in Biological & Agricultural Engineering.
