James Porter has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. James started their career as the Director of Distribution and GM Office at Nu Skin Taiwan, where they managed staff, provided distributor support, and oversaw warehouse operations. James then moved on to Nu Skin Enterprises, where they worked as a Business Relations Manager, evaluating and managing new products and projects for Asian subsidiary companies.
In 2006, James became the Chief Information Officer at GoYin, handling marketing, IT infrastructure, program development, and office build-out supervision. Following a merger, they joined Genesis PURE as the Vice President of IT, responsible for development, hardware support, integration, and vendor management. James also served as the VP of International during their time there.
James later joined ePorter, Inc. as the owner, where they oversaw all aspects of the business, from product design to sales and marketing. James secured patent protection and other company interests. In 2013, they worked at ByDesign Technologies as the General Manager, handling global business analysis and specifying software development requirements for clients.
From 2013 to 2017, James served as the Chief Information Officer at Kyäni, where they were responsible for IT strategy and operations, business support, contracts, spending, security, and software selection. James also supported the opening of new countries and markets.
Currently, James works at Sunrider International as the Director of Software Development and Director of IT, managing all aspects of the IT department and overseeing the infrastructure, web, and business support systems.
Throughout their career, James has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and technical skills in various roles and industries.
James Porter has a Bachelor's degree in Chinese and Asian Studies from Brigham Young University, which they obtained from 1990 to 1993. Later, from 1993 to 1995, they pursued a Master's degree in International Business from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business.
