Kiersten Hackman

Kiersten Hackman is a sophomore student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law and Human Rights Law. Currently, Kiersten serves as a Community Volunteer with Buckley Public Service Scholars and holds multiple leadership roles, including Communications Lead and Press Spokesperson with the Sunrise Movement. They also engage in research as a Student Researcher with Yunus Thailand and contribute to environmental justice initiatives as the Environmental Justice Coordinator for CompostMates at Carolina. Previously, Kiersten showcased their skills in communication and leadership as a finalist in national speech competitions and held various roles that emphasize community engagement and advocacy.
