Jason Roberts

Jason Roberts is a Battery Life Cycle Engineer at Sunrun since October 2024, previously serving as Sr. Scientist I at Solid Power, Inc. from August 2017 to October 2024, where leadership was provided to a team of five scientists focused on cathode development. Expertise in cathode formulation optimization led to significant advancements in energy density and cycle life for all-solid-state batteries. Jason's prior experience includes research roles at EN-SCI, Montrose Environmental Group, and the U.S. Geological Survey, as well as teaching positions at the University of Colorado Denver. Jason holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the United States Air Force Academy, where foundational skills in chemistry and environmental science were developed.
