Mingjin Chen

Mingjin Chen is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Engineering & Design at EDP Renewables APAC since April 2023. In this role, Mingjin leads the engineering design team for the 200 MWp Solar Nova 8 project, managing deliverables for Singapore and regional projects in utility-scale solar power and distributed generation. Previously, Mingjin worked at Sunseap Engineering Pte Ltd from October 2018 to March 2023 as Assistant Manager in Engineering, providing technical expertise for project feasibility and operations, and as a Solar & Microgrid Engineer, focusing on PV system design for two solar power plants in Vietnam with a combined capacity of 350 MWp. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant General Manager at Dolphin Insulation Services, where Mingjin handled project estimation and engineering calculations. Mingjin holds a Master of Engineering Science in Renewable Energy Electrical Power System from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
