Sunset Survivors is a coffee table book by Lindsay Varty with photographs by Gary Jones. It has been featured on CNN, The Guardian, CCTV, SCMP and more.

The book tells the stories of Hong Kong’s traditional tradesmen and women through stunning imagery and candid interviews. Covering a myriad of curious professions that are quickly falling into obscurity, from fortune telling to face threading, readers soon find themselves immersed in the streets of old Hong Kong.

This book is a celebration of Hong Kong’s cultural identity. It preserves the memory of these hardy men and women, and educates visitors and locals on the foundations on which the city was built.

Local author Lindsay Varty now gives lectures to schools, societies and at corporate functions on the subject of her book and the importance of appreciating Hong Kong's unique culture while it lasts.

Lindsay also runs local walking tours where she takes her guests to visit some of the characters from her book and introduces them to their ancient trades.
