Joichi Ito is the President of the Chiba Institute of Technology and a co-founder of both Digital Garage and the Neurodiversity School in Tokyo. Holding a PhD in Media and Governance from Keio University, they have over 30 years of leadership and entrepreneurial experience, particularly in areas such as web3, blockchain, AI, and social impact. Ito served as Director of the MIT Media Lab from 2011 to 2019 and has been involved with various organizations including Creative Commons, The New York Times, and the Mozilla Foundation. Currently, they continue to shape the future of technology and education through multiple advisory and board roles.
