Christopher Douglas Smith

Christopher Douglas Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector and project management. Currently serving as President & CTO of SunTrain Co since February 2021, Smith leads initiatives in utility-scale energy storage on freight rail networks. In addition, Smith contributes to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) in a role focused on green energy development, which encompasses consulting, training, and project management across California. Prior to these roles, Smith held positions including Chief Executive Officer at Paradigm Power & Planning, Senior Project Manager at Buildify, and Operations Manager at Umarov Construction Inc. Smith holds several certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP) and specialized training in energy storage systems and photovoltaic system design, complemented by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Business and Finance from Penn State University.
