Mike S is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and team leadership. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Sup since July 2025, Mike previously held the position of Senior Engineering Manager for Persistence Infrastructure at Discord from January 2021 to May 2025, where leadership was provided for key database platforms and data services. Prior to that, Mike was the VP of Engineering at Byte Inc from May 2015 to January 2021, contributing to the development of the Byte app, which achieved the #1 ranking in the Apple App Store. Earlier roles include Engineering Manager at Tumblr, focusing on systems to combat abuse, and Founding Software Engineer at iDoneThis.
