Alexander Korotkov

Alexander Korotkov currently serves as the Head of the PostgreSQL group at Supabase since September 2023. As a Major Contributor and Committer at the PostgreSQL Global Development Group since 2011, Alexander has made significant contributions, including advancements in pluggable index access methods and spatial search algorithms. Alexander founded OrioleDATA, Inc. in July 2020 and held the position of Chief of Development at Postgres Professional from 2015 to June 2020, where a successful team was built to develop Postgres Pro Enterprise. Additionally, Alexander was an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" from April 2009 to July 2016, specializing in database management systems and data analysis, and served as a team lead at Intaro Soft from 2007 to 2014, overseeing various successful projects.
