Mel Quirk

Mel Quirk has a strong background in human resources and people management. They have worked in various organizations, including Supacolor, Laybuy, Overland Footwear Group, Converga Pty Ltd, Mighty River Power, Goodman Fielder, Leading Edge NZ, and Child Cancer Foundation. Their most recent position was as the Chief People Officer at Supacolor, where they started in May 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief People Officer at Laybuy for three years, and as the GM of People and Culture at Overland Footwear Group for four years. With a range of roles and experiences, Mel Quirk has developed expertise in people management and culture development.

Mel Quirk obtained a Certificate in Employment Relations from Massey University in 2007. In 1998, Mel received a Diploma in Organisational Behaviour from The University of Waikato. Prior to that, in 1995-1997, Mel earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences with a field of study in Psychology from The University of Waikato. Mel also holds additional certifications, including The Emotional Culture Deck - Certificate of Practice from riders&elephants and Everything DiSC Accreditation from Fortuna International Ltd, both obtained in 2022.
