Michael Li has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2001, they worked as a Software Engineer at Abeona Networks, contributing to the development of a high-performance web server. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as a Consultant at Accenture, followed by a role as a Consultant at Blackstone Technology Group from 2004 to 2005. In 2004, they co-founded and served as CEO of 6th Sense Communications, a mobile software startup focused on proximity and social context.
In 2006, Michael co-founded Kabam and held various roles within the company, including General Manager of Kabam China, where they played a key role in transforming the company into a mobile gaming powerhouse. During their tenure, Kabam achieved significant revenue growth, and Michael led the development of successful mobile games such as Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North and The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth.
In 2017, they co-founded Gen.G esports, a global esports organization that operates professional esports teams. In 2018, they co-founded Rally, and from 2019 to 2021, they were a co-founder of Forte.
Currently, Michael is a Partner and CTO at SuperLayer, where they collaborate with founders to fund and build new web3 consumer products. Their projects include Hotline, a token-powered messaging platform enabling secure transactions between fans and creators.
