Laurel Touby

Laurel Touby is a seasoned managing director at Supernode Ventures since December 2017, where the focus has been on combining insights from angel investing and business journalism to drive investment strategies. Previously, Laurel served as CEO of mediabistro.com inc. from July 1997 to June 2011, successfully navigating the company through two recessions, enhancing revenue streams, and ultimately negotiating a profitable sale for $23 million. Additional editorial experience includes roles as contributing editor at Glamour Magazine, staff editor at Business Week magazine, and assistant editor at Working Woman Magazine, alongside a foundational role as senior media planner at Young & Rubicam Advertising. Laurel holds a BA in Economics and International Relations from Smith College and a high school diploma from Pine Crest.
