Scott Clay

Scott Clay has extensive work experience starting with their current role as a DevOps Engineer at Sure. Prior to this, they worked at Arrive Health as a Senior Platform Engineer, where they rebuilt all new infrastructure in AWS, led Disaster Recovery Exercises, and transitioned to multi-region AWS infrastructure. Before that, they worked at Inteliquent as a DevOps Engineer, where they managed the infrastructure behind the Emergency Services Platform, responded to critical infrastructure incidents, and implemented Infrastructure as code with Ansible. In addition, they worked as an Application Engineer at niolabs, a Sales Engineer at Keyence Corporation, and an MWD/LWD Field Engineer at Schlumberger. Finally, they started their career as an Athletic Ticket Sales Associate at Auburn University and worked as a Co-op Process Engineer at Mercedes Benz US-International.

Scott Clay graduated from Sardis High School in 2006 with a High School Diploma. Scott later earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University in 2012. Scott has also obtained several certifications, including the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2023, the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (003) from HashiCorp in April 2023, and the Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in November 2021.
