Scott Cote has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Scott started their career with Bonner Electric as an Electrical Apprentice from August 2003 to January 2005. Scott then joined WestRock Company and held various positions. From January 2005 to May 2007, they worked as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, focusing on skill development and acquiring training. From May 2007 to January 2014, they served as an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor, overseeing the daily functions of a team of five crew workers and maximizing maintenance efficiency. From January 2014 to March 2016, they returned as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment in a paper mill environment.

In 2017, Cote joined Cigna as a TECDP Intern in Software Engineering & Innovation, before transitioning to a full-time role as a TECDP Analyst in the same field from January 2018 to October 2020. From October 2020 to December 2020, they worked as a Senior Application Developer.

In 2020, Cote joined Evernorth as a Senior Software Engineer. Currently, in 2022, they are working as a Senior Software Engineer at Sure.

Scott Cote has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut, which they obtained from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Three Rivers Community College - Company, completing it from 2005 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Scott also holds several certifications. Scott obtained the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon in December 2021. Scott received a Certificate of Outstanding Academic Achievement from the University of Connecticut in December 2016. Other certifications include Control Valve Engineering I & II from Emerson Process Management in June 2012, Certificate in Supervision from Quinebaug Valley Community College in October 2008, OSHA 10-Hour Safety from the Connecticut Department of Labor in October 2008, Level 2 Industrial Hydraulics from CFC-Solar, Inc. in April 2008, DeltaV Implementation I & II from Emerson Process Management in November 2006, 6RA24 DC Drive Setup/Maintenance from Siemens in September 2006, PLC-5/SLC500 Maintenance and Programming from Rockwell Automation in September 2006, and Networking and Computer Technical Support from Ridley-Lowell Business & Technical Institute in July 2003.
