David Atkins

David Atkins has a diverse and extensive work experience in software development. David is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at SureCloud since January 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer at SureCloud since March 2016. Before joining SureCloud, David worked at Inspired Gaming Group as a Senior Java Developer and Technical Team Lead from February 2010 to July 2015. David also served as a Senior Java Developer/Architect at Empathy Systems A/S from March 2008 to December 2009, and at Legal Services Commission from April 1998 to March 2008. Earlier in their career, David worked at Computer Management Group as a Cobol/Oracle Developer from April 1995 to March 1998, and at International Software Marketing Limited as a COBOL Developer from April 1993 to April 1995. David started their career at Electrical Contractors Association as a COBOL Developer, gaining experience in PC-based applications and exposure to DEC VMS and Honeywell Minis.

David Atkins obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Computer Studies from North West Kent College of Technology between 1987 and 1989. David also holds additional certifications such as "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" and "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems" from Coursera, as well as a "Sun Java Programmer" certification from Sun Microsystems.
