Michael Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to present. In 2009, they worked as a Student Marketing Assistant at the University of Washington's Environmental Health & Safety department. In 2010, they were a Marketing Intern at 950 KJR Sports Radio, a Clear Channel Communications station, where they managed all branded social media channels, wrote daily show summaries, assisted with promotional activities, and booked and scheduled guests. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at Spring Creek Group | MediaBrands as a Senior Associate, Social Communities, where they provided insights into community trends, developed creative content and copywriting, and helped manage and deliver social media analytics reporting and strategic recommendations. Since 2014, they have been at SureCritic, Inc. in various roles including Director of Client Services, Senior Account Manager, and Strategic Account Manager.
Michael Nelson obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Political Science from the University of Washington. In October 2012, they also earned a Community Strategist certification from the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.
